We were so excited to be returning to Barcelona .  It was one of the many stops on our trip to Morocco, Nice, and Monaco last year.  We were going on our first ever cruise with Air Canada Vacations and Norwegian Cruise lines.  When looking for where to stay in Barcelona we wanted to make sure we were close to it all, right on Rambla de Catalunya and Hotel HCC Regente Barcelona was a perfect choice.  The Hotel HCC Regente Barcelona is centrally located and one of the best places to stay in Barcelona.

Hotel HCC Regente Barcelona

Hotel HCC Regente is located in one of Barcelona’s most popular streets.  It is the perfect location to easily get to Barcelona’s old town, go shopping or to go explore the city. The building boasts Modernist architecture, built in 1913 under the name “Casa Evarist Juncosa”.  The building still preserves original Modernist elements on its façade, such as stained-glass windows and wrought iron elements.

The hotel occupies a modernist building constructed in 1913 and given the name “Casa Evarist Juncosa”. The building retains its original facade and modernist elements, which include the colorful glass and the wrought ironwork. Hotel HCC Regente was completely renovated in 2012, and is located on one of the main streets in the city center, Rambla Catalunya, in Barcelona’s historical, business and shopping area.

5 Reasons to Stay at Hotel HCC Regente Barcelona

1.  Superior Room with Terrace

We stayed in a comfortable room with a large washroom.  The rooms are fairly simplistic European style. The best feature of our room is the private terrace with the amazing views of Barcelona.  If views are not your thing then you’ll be happy to know that the rooms feature satellite TV and free WIFI.

2.  Feast at the Buffet Breakfast

The best part about waking up at the Hotel HCC Regente Barcelona was knowing that we didn’t have to go looking for a place to have breakfast.  The hotel includes a very expansive buffet breakfast, that is included in the hotel rate. We loved that we had a buffet breakfast every morning with a wide range of menu items such as scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, an assortment of baked goods, salamis and cheeses, fruit and coffee and tea.  Make sure to have the croissants, they are very addictive.

3. The Perfect Location in Barcelona

Now that our bellies are full from the buffet breakfast we were able to venture out and take in all of the must-see places in Barcelona such as La Pedrera, Casa Asia, Gothic district, La Rambla, Liceu Theatre, La Boqueria market, Plaça de Sant Jaume, Diagonal Avenue, and the Gràcia district.  The hotel is in walking distance to many of the must-see attractions.

4. The Best Rooftop Views

The hotel’s top floor has a terrace with stunning 360⁰ views of the city of Barcelona. It is open during the summer and it includes a rooftop pool, a bar, and a solarium. If you’re not up for a swim then enjoy a drink and some tapas at the rooftop restaurant and take in the city views.

5.  The Friendly Staff

We were extremely happy with the service at the Hotel HCC Regente Barcelona.  The staff made sure we were comfortable during our stay and were very helpful with directions and advice on best places to eat.

We had a great stay at Hotel HCC Regente Barcelona and would definitely stay there again if we return to Barcelona.  Thank you to the staff for making our brief stay memorable.
