Does it seem like no one has any time anymore……..24 hours in a day just doesn’t seem to be enough time.
I hear over and over again how people are too BUSY to cook healthy meals and eat properly or too BUSY to workout. Those same people will be running to the TV to catch the latest episode of the Bachelor ( I like watching this too 🙂 ) – but don’t have time to take care of themselves.
Every time you go through the drive thru you are hurting your health and your wallet. Your breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks don’t have to take hours to prepare and you can save yourself a ton of money by making your own meals.
2 Minute Breakfast
Because I’m BUSY too, my go to breakfast is always a protein shake. It’s quick, easy, tastes great, and fills me up. Here is what I had this morning:
1 cup unsweetened chocolate almond milk
2 scoops Vi-Shape protein powder
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1 -2 Tablespoons Cocoa
1/2 an avocado
tons of ice
It took me 2 minutes to make!
Throw in your bag snack ideas:
Apple with tablespoon of peanut butter or almond butter
cup of baby carrots or any veggie with a serving of hummus
hard boiled egg
small handful of nuts (measure these out, it’s easy to eat more than a serving)
small slice of cheese
Nutra-Cookie
Greek yogurt
Cottage Cheese
Healthy Dinner in 30 minutes or less
A quick dinner idea – roasted salmon
Put salmon fillets on baking sheet top with baby tomatoes, olives, and a few capers and roast it.
I literally takes about 10-15 minutes to make this meal. We always add some sort of veggie to our dinner. We will either steam or roast a veggie or make a salad. Simple, easy, and quick.
