The Colette Grand Cafe is located in the Thompson Hotel in Toronto. It is inspired by the timeless cafes in France. This upscale restaurant serves some of the chicest breakfast, lunch and dinners in the city. The bakery offers delicious French pastries – macarons, cookies, tarts, as well as savoury sandwiches and salads and of course croissants. The cafe part of the restaurant offers a sit down section or you can take your coffee and treats to go.
This is my second time brunching at the Colette Grand Cafe. This time it was a girls brunch for my mothers birthday. My mother does not impress easily but she was impressed by the decor and the food.
As soon as you walk through the doors you immediately feel like you are somewhere special. The decor is very French. It’s all in the details. Everything from the colours, furniture, lighting, etc make the ambiance of this restaurant very cozy chic.
All the staff are super friendly.
I swear I can just lounge all day on that sofa sipping on mimosas.
The cuisine, décor, and atmosphere at Colette Grand Café celebrate the essence of French style.
At Colette the ingredients are treated with integrity and care to bring you a culinary experience you will cherish.
This is the perfect location for birthday brunch parties.

This is the Cafe Part
I love their coffee. I always order a latte made with almond milk. Their coffee is bold but smooth.
I have this thing with Eggs Benedict. So far this is all I have ordered here, both times! Yes, it is that good. It’s not just any Eggs Benedict, the eggs are on a flakey, delicious croissant. The texture and the flavour make this dish. Okay, I promise the next time I brunch here I will try something different on the menu. Actually, we all ordered the Eggs Benedict. My daughter added the yogurt Parfait and my mother had the blueberry pancakes. She said the pancakes are delicious.
Oh, you can’t forget to order a mimosa. There is a cart that goes around table to table serving mimosas. There is a choice of orange juice or grapefruit juice for the mimosa. Both are fantastic. Cheers!
You will probably be too full for dessert but don’t leave without taking some goodies home. The macarons are delicious.
This is the Cafe part. I have stopped here several times to grab a latte on my way to work.
But these tiles…….love.
They offer treats for your dog as well as pre-made smoothies to go.
So far this is my favourite brunching restaurant. So much so that I booked us to brunch for my daughters birthday 🙂
I forgot to mention that on Sunday’s they offer a buffet all you can eat brunch. Be sure to check out their menus.

Oh my the food looks absolutely delightful but I really have my eyes on those macaroons! The ambiance of the cafe seems so charming and elegant with a nice modern feels. I've always wanted to visit Toronto for I hear it's the closest thing to Europe I can get without actually going to Europe :)

Whenever I try a new brunch place, if they have Eggs Benedict on the menu, that's what I order. It's the true test for me if a brunch place is good or not! :P
