The Captain Freeman Inn on Cape Cod

My husband and I recently took a little getaway to Cape Cod. After searching many places to stay we decided this time to stay in a Bed and Breakfast.  We came across The Captain Freeman Inn, and just knew this was the one.

The Captain Freeman Inn is located in Brewster, a quiet village with lovely beaches, an expansive state park, charming shops and several wonderful restaurants.

Donna and Byron, the owners and innkeepers of The Captain Freeman Inn, have carefully renovated the inn since purchasing it in 2011. The exquisite craftsmanship throughout the inn has been restored to its original beauty. The hand-pulled plaster moldings and ceiling medallions, and chevron-patterned hardwood floors are as flawless now as they were the day that Captain Freeman moved into his new home.

At The Captain Freeman Inn, you’ll find 10 intimate guestrooms, all of which include a private bath and air conditioning. Each room is stocked with luxurious bath products, thick Turkish cotton and linen towels and bathrobes. All rooms also include flat-screen TVs, phone and I-pod docking stations, comfortable sitting areas and wi-fi.

Each of their rooms are individually decorated with a blend of period pieces and contemporary touches.

Stylish and sophisticated

With a keen nod to its namesake, this was Captain Freeman’s master bedroom and was recently remodeled to include a rejuvenating single whirlpool tub.

• Seaside palette of blue greys with local artwork
• Views of gardens and Brewster Green
• Private marble bath with single whirlpool tub/rain forest shower head
• Romantic electric stove
• Two comfortable reading chairs
• Coffee station with guest refrigerator available close by
• Guest iron and ironing board available
• Air Conditioning
• Location – Second floor-main house. Bedroom measures 14×14 Bath 6×7

We had a wonderful stay in the Dennis Room.  The bed was so comfortable.  It was like sleeping on a cloud.

Breakfast

We were treated each morning to a gourmet breakfast.  You can enjoy breakfast in the indoor dining room or the outside covered screened porch that overlooks the pool and gardens.

Make sure to pack your appetite as you are in for a treat.  Each morning we had unlimited cups of coffee or tea along with a delicious breakfast that had our bellies full and ready to discover Cape Cod.

Followed by blueberry pancakes with bacon.

Breakfast is both gourmet and farm to table. It doesn’t end there.  Prepare yourself for afternoon tea in the indoor dining room where you will once again be spoiled with fresh baked treats.

Things To Do

There is so much to do in Cape Cod.  You can choose to simply sit by this serene pool all day with a good book, stroll down to the beach for the perfect relaxing day or head out for some whale watching with Dolphin Fleet Whale Watching

Cape Cod is a great getaway from Toronto.  Only a 10 hour drive takes you to the Cape.  The Captain Freeman Inn is the ultimate place to stay in Cape Cod for that home away from home feeling where you will truly be spoiled.  Visit their website for a selection of bedroom options that will meet anyones needs.
