Did you read on our stay at the Captain Freeman Inn in Cape Cod? Continuing on our mission to taste the best local seafood Cape Cod has to offer we visited Albertos in Hyannis. This restaurant, a favourite of residents and visitors alike, is located on Main Street in the center of town.
Upon arrival we were pleasantly greeted and seated in a charming but very busy open area at our white linen table. The menu here is classic northern Italian inspired and the wine list very extensive .
Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable on every dish and altough the meat and pasta dishes are very popular here, we really came for the fresh caught local bounty of seafood !
Albertos Cape Cod Starters
We started the feast with fried roman artichokes with tomato, capers, shallots in a white wine sauce and seared tuna with a pineapple, mango salsa. After our first few bites we knew we were in for a treat, each dish was cooked to perfection and presented beautifully.
Albertos Cape Cod Entrees
For the main course we chose the suggested favourites: grilled local swordfish with rapini, fingerling potatoes with tuscan beans and the pan seared local scallops in white wine sauce with gnocchi. The freshness of the seafood and quality of preparation came through in every wonderful bite.
Albertos Cape Cod Dessert
After a little breather and a nice chat with the owner Manny we enjoyed the tiramisu and tartuffo for dessert which capped off a truly amazing night .
