Elk + Avenue Hotel Dining
Elk + Avenue Hotel boasts its own restaurant and bar, Farm & Fire. As you may expect from the name, the food is centered around traditional slow-roasting and wood-firing techniques, created using local ingredients sourced from Canadian farmers.
The restaurant is the brainchild of Chef David Rye, who trained at the prestigious Humber College and previously apprenticed at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. “For me, cooking over fire is the best way to cook,” he says. “It just makes the flavor better.”
Menu favorites include wood-fired flatbreads paired with wine, porchetta, flank steak, and rotisserie chicken. There is also a children’s menu, vegetarian/vegan options and an allergen guide for nut and gluten allergies.
