Spicy flavors of the Caribbean blend with the luxury of an island resort to bring you Laluna Grenada Resort, an intimate, relaxed resort with a warm style that blends Balinese, Caribbean, and Italian influences.
Grenada is a popular Caribbean country, consisting of the mainland which is surrounded by smaller islands. The magical island region is framed by the hillside of an old volcano. St George’s, the capital of Grenada, is an incredibly popular tourist attraction, luring countless travelers looking for a relaxing place to unwind.
While there are several wonderful places to stay in Grenada, there is no place quite like Hotel La Luna, and here is why.

First Impression Of Laluna Hotel
The beachfront property is nothing short of spectacular. Laluna is designed with a romantic getaway in mind, and the focus on intimacy is woven into every aspect of the destination.
Casual chic in design, the idyllic 16-cottage boutique hotel is a bohemian design hotel that is nestled into a private hillside on one of Grenada’s most secluded beaches. The resort’s serene mood is contagious, and you can’t help but melt into relaxation mode upon arrival. Laluna is the perfect escape to a private paradise retreat.
There is something magical about this little piece of paradise. Effortlessly stylish, the resort encourages a spark of fun to further ignite your stay with your loved ones. The staff also go out of their way to make sure that your stay at Laluna is flawless.
The Rooms At Laluna, Grenada
The discreet Laluna Resort has a choice of incredible, boho-chic rooms to choose from, depending on your preferences and needs. All rooms offer a breathtaking view, world-class comfort and a touch of pizazz that comes through in the unique interior design. The 16 romantic cottages and luxury villas are designed by Armani architect Gabriella Giuntoli, and Salvatore Perna. They blend Balinese elements, Italian, and Caribbean beauty to create a unique, beach chic boutique resort.
- The Cottage Suite boasts magnificent views of the sea and the beach. Sleeping two, the suite also features a daybed on the veranda, alongside the private plunge pool.
- The Deluxe Cottage is a free-standing cottage that has a sea and garden view. With a private plunge pool and daybed on the veranda, you’ll have a hard time leaving your room.
- For a truly spectacular experience, choose to stay in the Beach Cottage Deluxe. The cottage is inspired by global travel and is richly decorated with built-in lounging areas, vaulted wooden ceilings, and minimalist design. If that’s not enough, the cottage is located only a few steps away from the beach.
- Traveling with friends? The two-bedroom cottage offers the same luxuries of a private veranda and plunge pool but has space to sleep four.
- For an unparalleled experience in Grenada, the spacious Laluna Villa offers a choice of three, four or five bedrooms (for six, eight or 10 guests). All of these villas provide everything that guests could possibly need including a large deck terrace, a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, and an exquisite beach view.
While the larger villas are the perfect option for those traveling in groups or as families, it is important to note that Laluna doesn’t accept guests under the age of 12 years old.
We stayed in the Deluxe beach cottage, perched on the hill overlooking the beach. It is a short 30 steps to the secluded beach. Upon entering the cottage you will see the romantic four-poster canopy Balinese king size bed with Bellora Italian linens. The canopy on the bed is romantic but also serves a dual purpose to help keep the mosquitos out, although we did not have any issues with mosquitos in our room.
Off the bedroom, there is an outdoor bathroom area with a walk-in shower with ocean views, a large counter space as well as an enclosed toilet area. They also offer bathrobes, luscious bath soaps, shower gel, moisturizer, shampoo, and conditioner. The bathrooms are open-air, although they don’t have airconditioning, they are equipped with ceiling fans.
Tip: As most of the rooms are perched up the hill it does require climbing some stairs. If you have accessibility issues you may consider requesting a room closer to the beach.
Luxury Amenities At Laluna Hotel, Grenada
All rooms are fully equipped with the modern-day comforts of a TV, mini-bar, ceiling fan, coffee, private veranda, and plunge pool. However, if you do manage to pull yourself away from the luxurious comfort of your room, then you are in for a real treat.
Laluna is located directly on the beach, transforming the crystal clear waters of the sea into a liquid playground. The hotel offers complimentary Hobie cats, kayaks, and snorkeling equipment to use to your heart’s content. For an added cost, you can also take advantage of the other hotel activities available such as fishing, deep-sea fishing, wind-surfing, and a sunset catamaran cruise.
If you want to venture into the lush land surrounding the hotel, then you can jump onto one of the complimentary bikes or go on one of the hotel’s island eco-tours.
If you are looking for a quiet evening then sit back and relax and catch a movie in the open-air Yoga pavilion on the beach on Wednesday nights.

Fresh catch of the day
Laluna Resort Restaurant
The on-site restaurant surpasses expectations by offering authentic Italian cuisine with a unique Caribbean twist. The restaurant is located right on the beach with alfresco dining overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The restaurant offers authentic Italian cuisine, with the freshest local organic produce with a Caribbean twist and is considered one of the best restaurants in Grenada.
All the Italian ingredients are imported directly from Italy. You can have all the tastes of Italy such as Proscuitto di Parma, Calabrian Sun-dried Tomatoes and Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Although this is not an all-inclusive resort, they do offer optional meal plans.
Tip: If you are dining here in the evening and attract mosquitos as I do, I would highly recommend packing some bug spray.

Tranquility Pavilion at Laluna Resort
Laluna Asian Spa
The Laluna Spa has earned a very high reputation in the Caribbean as one of the most incredible wellness spas in the region. You can’t leave without taking the time to enjoy the on-site spa. The premiere wellness sanctuary offers an Asian spa, beachfront yoga pavilion, sustainable organic garden and the state of the art gym.
I would highly recommend the Balinese massage that features professional Balinese masseuses that use Eastern techniques. A Balinese massage helps to relieve tension, improves blood flow and rejuvenates, strengthens, and heals the body.
The Spa also has a couples room, a wet room with a Vichy shower. If you prefer something a little stronger then you might want to try the Tatami room for a stronger massage that is done on the floor. There is a private changing area as well as private outdoor showers, and a tranquility pavilion to enjoy the end of your treatment while sipping on tea.

Beautiful secluded beach
Surroundings of Laluna Resort
One of the most incredible parts of staying at Laluna is easy access to the surrounding beaches. The resort itself is located directly on a secluded beach. You can find nearby the white sands of Parc a Boeuf Beach that is a short 350 meters away from the resort and offers guests the opportunity to relax in the sun, swim in the emerald waters, enjoy a variety of water sports, or watch the sun dip behind the horizon at the end of the day.
Also nearby is Morne Rouge Beach, 400 meters away from the resort, Magazine Beach (650 meters) and Grand Anse Beach (1,1 kilometers). Needless to say, with the combination of stunning beaches and tropical Grenada climate, it’s best you pack your sunblock!

Spend your day relaxing on the beach
