Paséa Hotel & Spa Huntington Beach California

When I think California I think surf, sand, and sun. Huntington Beach delivers all of that and more with world-class surfing beaches, local and world cuisine, and other outdoor activities. Huntington Beach is a seaside city in Orange County in Southern California also known as Surf City USA. The Paséa Hotel & Spa is located in the perfect location, directly across the beach.

The Paséa Hotel & Spa is a little piece of heaven located in Huntington Beach, voted Time Magazine’s best beach in America. This 4-star luxury oceanfront hotel, opened in early summer, 2016.

Checking into the Paséa Hotel & Spa I immediately fell in love with the surfer chic decor. It has the classic laid back California feel with the white and blue theme throughout, not to mention the amazing ocean views across the Pacific Coast Highway.

Imagine sitting by the heated saltwater pool while taking in the magnificent beach views.  There is a poolside bar with food service, so there is no need to leave this oasis.  We were lucky enough to almost have the pool all to ourselves.

We dined at Tanner’s for lunch and were really impressed with the Southern California cuisine menu items and of course, the ocean views.  What makes this restaurant special is that they cook over a live fire. There is a glass-encased staircase that leads to Tanner’s chic rooftop lounge where you can take in the panoramic ocean views and relax in the cabanas, the lush loungers or the swinging chairs.

What to do in Huntington Beach

Huntington Beach Pier

With the Paséa Hotel & Spa located directly across Huntington Beach, there is no shortage of activities.  Of course, you can choose to simply relax and soak up the sun by the pool or walk down to the pier.  Huntington Beach Pier is 1,850 feet in length and sits in the heart of Huntington Beach, directly across the hotel.  I love walking along the pier to watch the local surfers glide along the waves.

Bike Ride along Boardwalk

We took advantage of the bike service offered at the hotel and enjoyed a bike ride along the Huntington Beach boardwalk as well as the pier.  It is a great way to explore the area.

Shopping at Pacific City

Who doesn’t like a little shopping while on vacation?  With the Pacific City conveniently connected to the hotel that houses 191,000 square feet of unique shops and restaurants, you’ll be sure to find something to take back home with you or simply enjoy strolling through the mall while window shopping.  This is very convenient as everything is within walking distance and no car is needed.

Culture and Art

Check out the local surf culture at the Huntington Beach International Surfing Museum, Surfing Walk of Fame, Surfers’ Hall of Fame, and Duke Kahanamoku Statue, then check out a limited exhibit at the Huntington Beach Art Center, Rainwater Gallery & Event Center, or historic Newland House.

Main Street

A short walk from the hotel is Main Street where you will find charming shops, surf shops, boutiques and great dining selections.  If you happen to be there on a Tuesday night, you will get to explore Surf City Nights, a community-driven farmers market and street fair with local food vendors and artisans.

Looking back on our stay at the Paséa hotel in Huntington beach was so memorable. This hotel and the Pacific city mall next door along with the beach just steps away make it a dream vacation spot where a car is not even needed. The amazing food options, ocean view pool, and upscale amenities is what will definitely bring us back to this energy-packed destination!

Thank you so much Paséa hotel for a memorable stay.

The place looks beyond awesome Diana but knowing that ample outdoor activities abound in the area pulls me in even more. Brilliant region too; one of the best in Cali. I reckon. I'd definitely be biking along the boardwalk and pier too ;) Thanks for sharing.
