The Crimson Jasper

For intrepid travelers looking to explore the great outdoors, activities, and wildlife of Jasper National Park, Alberta, and the Canadian Rockies, there are plenty of great hotel options in town. One of the best choices is The Crimson Jasper, which is inspired by the adventurous natural surroundings and offers spectacular mountain views.

Originally built in 1950 and named the Amethyst Lodge, the building was bought and renovated in 2007, transforming the hotel into The Crimson Jasper. The hotel is modern and sits in a perfect location, with good proximity for exploration.

Activities that can be enjoyed near the hotel include hiking, cycling and SUP (stand-up paddling), as well as snowshoeing, skating, fat biking and skiing in the winter months.

Benefits of booking a stay at The Crimson Jasper include price-matching, free cancellation, and the hotel’s pet-friendly policy (CAD25 per night, maximum of two pets per room), so you can bring along your pooch along with you to enjoy the mountain air. The Crimson Hotel Jasper Dining

Authentic Burger

The menu at Authentic Burger, as the name suggests, is based around fresh, seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients found in the Alberta region. The restaurant is headed by Executive Chef Jamie Hussey, who works with an 80-person culinary team to oversee the creation of hearty Canadian cuisine.

Guests can enjoy a complimentary breakfast at Authentic Burger in the mornings, served between 8am and 11.30am. A la carte options include the Authentic Special (two eggs any style, hash browns, toast and a choice of crispy bacon, sausage or maple ham), French toast, pancakes, eggs benedict and made-to-order omelets, among other quintessential breakfast favorites.

In terms of the burgers, the hamburger patties are made from fresh ground Alberta beef, while the elk meatloaf burgers offer a taste of something different for the more adventurous foodie. Portions are large and great value for money, and there are sometimes special menus for holidays.
