Hello lovelies,
Although it is Spring, we are still getting winter like weather and my skin is not liking it. I wish the winter temperatures would leave already. Just as I put my sweaters and coats away, I had to pull them all back out again. My flip flops are on standby, patiently waiting. The Hydra-Essentiel serum and moisturizer has helped quench my skin. Funny, I have combination skin so never thought of my skin as being dry – I was wrong. I have been trying out a few Clarins products, you can read about the other products here and here .
Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Bi-Phase Serum
This is a light serum that offers intense hydration that quenches irritated, dull, and uneven skin. There is organic leaf of life extract, a powerful natural hydration actuator that boosts the skins’s hyaluronic acid products. This helps to refine the skin’s texture and smooth the surface. Who doesn’t want quenched skin? This is great for all skin types.
With having combination skin, more on the oily side, I am always worried about trying hydrating serums as I think they are going to make me look like an oil slick. That was not the case. My skin, although oily, seems to be very dehydrated and just soaks this up.
Water is essential to life and also your skin’s beauty. Your daily schedule can cause your skin to dehydrate.
I use one to two pumps and press it into my skin. It has a slight oily texture that sinks into the skin within seconds. This plant-based serum helps hydrate, plump up the skin and eliminate redness. The serum has a floral scent.
Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Silky Cream – Normal to Dry Skin
This silky cream helps your skin’s capacity to retain water. This also has organic leaf of life extract that helps with hydration activators that helps with that radian plump look.
The Silky Cream has a thin, lightweight lotion texture. It spreads easily and feels slightly sticky when you first apply it your face, but it soaks in within a few moments.
Just like the serum, my skin does not feel oily from the cream. My skin feels hydrated, smooth, and plump.
Both of these products work well for me. They are scented so iff you have sensitive skin or sensitivies to fragrance then you might want to try out a sample first. Although I like the scent of the cream and serum, some have indicated that they find it a bit overwhelming.
Have you tried the cream or serum? What are your thoughts?
