Our next destination was Fort Lauderdale. The drive from the Gulf Coast was approximately one and a half hours across alligator alley to the Pelican Grand Beach Resort. We lucked out as there wasn’t a lot of traffic so we made good time. We chose to stay in Fort Lauderdale away from crowds of Miami.
The Pelican Grand Beach Resort, a Noble House Hotel, is a premier waterfront resort. It is located in the heart of the Fort Lauderdale’s pristine beach with almost 500 feet of private beachfront. As soon as I stepped foot into the lobby I was greeted with the breathtaking views of the beach and old-style Floridian grandeur.
From the moment you arrive at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort you will savor the breathtaking views of Fort Lauderdale Beach. The check in process was a breeze, with valet parking our luggage was quickly unloaded and wheeled up to our room.

The Room
After checking in we immediately went up to our room to settle in. We stayed in a two queen bed suite with direct oceanfront views. The rooms are extremely spacious. I love that the room was divided into a sleeping area and a sitting area with a loveseat sofa bed and television in both rooms, along with a balcony with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. The room had the decor of a beach cottage but equipped with all the modern amenities. The suite also included a mini refrigerator and coffee maker as well as high speed internet.
Room With A View
The best part about our room was the view. Seriously, how gorgeous is this view!
The Pool
We decided to head down to enjoy the pool area and some drinks. The hotel sits right on the Atlantic Ocean and features a beautiful pool area with Fort Lauderdale’s only Lazy River, a beautiful zero entry pool, and a private beach.
The rest of the day was spent relaxing and enjoying the amenities before getting ready for dinner.
Food and Drinks
The Pelican Grand Beach Resort has an upscale fine dining restaurant and lounge the OCEAN2000 which has a veranda with a breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean. We decided to have dinner out on the veranda and take in all the amazing views.
The restaurant offers American cuisine blending local product and character into a refined menu.
What We Ate
We started with the Key West Kale Caesar salad with romaine, parmesan, lime-ciabatta croutons, ginger caesar dressing.
East Coast Oysters with mojo cucumber mignonette
Maple & Guava BBQ-Glazed Salmon with fava bean, sweet potato & jicama succotash, crispy potato hay
Duck Fat-Braised Half Chicken pineapple-glaze, smashed chorizo-yucca fries, coconut peas, jamaican-spiced jus
Florida Lobster Risotto with fresh black truffle, forest mushrooms, fennel ragout
Dessert
Pineapple Cheesecake mojito gelée, coconut panna cotta, rum-alaea salt caramel
The Spa
Unfortunately we never had the opportunity to enjoy the PURE Spa. It is a luxurySwedish spa on the 11th floor of the resort. PURE Spa provides an assortment of signature treatments including ‘PURE You’ and offers roof-top yoga along with a delectable variety of massage therapy, facials and skin care essentials, body treatments, nail care, waxing and make-up.
Other Amenities
The resort has amazing ocean view ballrooms for meetings, weddings and other special events.
Morning Coffee Views
Before heading out we enjoyed our coffee with views out on the beautiful porch.
Thank you to the Pelican Grand Beach Resort for an amazing stay. Everything was beautiful and as you can imagine, we didn’t want to leave. Make sure to follow them on Instagram and visit their website for your stay in Fort Lauderdale.
Have you visited Fort Lauderdale? Where did you stay?
