Mountain Shadows Resort Paradise Valley
Mountain Shadows Resort Modern GuestroomsThe resort offers 183 modern mid-century modern and contemporary designed guestrooms that feel open and airy with a luxurious feel. Most of the rooms feature floor-to-ceiling glass for natural light as well as private patios or balconies for taking in the stunning desert scenery. We were lucky to stay in a guestroom with a patio overlooking the golf course with mountain views. The rooms have a unique open bathroom layout with the glass shower in the middle of the room. There is a large curtain that can be closed for privacy. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable.
Mountain Shadows Resort PoolThe 75-foot pools are connected by a modern waterfall feature. It is the perfect location to sit and admire the dramatic views of Camelback Mountain. There are plush loungers that will make your poolside lounging comfortable while basking in the Arizona sunshine. If you feel the need to work out during your stay, the 4,000 square foot fitness center will entice you with the high tech machines and the magnificent pool views.
Mountain Shadows Resort GolfThe Mountain Shadows boasts the only 18-hole, par-3 course in Arizona. It is also known as The Short Course. This course has an emphasis on fun for the casual golfer, as well as the serious player. The newly configured and rebuilt course was designed by renowned golf course architect Forrest Richardson. He combines more difficult Diamond Tees, intermediate Square Tees, and easier Circle Tees to be selected by the golfer to form their personal course layout. Personally, if I was golfing I would be distracted by the beautiful views of iconic Camelback Mountain that begin to cascade into the round of golf.
Mountain Shadows Resort Dining
Dining Hearth 61′We dined at Hearth ’61 for breakfast. Renowned Chef Charles Wiley takes his inspiration from the flavours of local and organic ingredients. We decided to order the banana ricotta pancakes with caramel pistachio compote topped with bacon as an appetizer. How could we resist this stack of pancakes? These were too delicious to pass up. Followed by the skillet-baked eggs with creamed spinach, shiitake mushrooms, and smoked cheddar. Simply put, this resort is extremely classy! Considering that the resort is so new, it is the epitome of modern and yet it has that oh-so-cool retro style that will make it timeless for years to come. We kept thinking we would turn a corner and find a film set of Mad Men. From the gorgeous furnishings in the public areas to the sleek, spacious suites, Mountain Shadows is everything that you would expect and more from the whole modern Scottsdale experience but with a special nod to its storied past. This place is the definition of class! Click here for the latest prices.
Thank you Mountain Shadows for an incredible stay.
