Where to Stay in Rovinj Istria Croatia

Grand Park Hotel Rovinj (Maistra Collection)

One of the most beautiful modern hotels that I stayed at in Rovijn. The Grand Park Hotel is a luxurious, modern sanctuary perched above Rovinj’s eastern coastline. Designed by Studio 3LHD with interiors by Milan’s Piero Lissoni, it blends into the lush Golden Cape forest while cascading terraced floors down to the sea.

view of rovinj from Grand park hotel rovinj istria croatia

Guests wake up to stunning views of the old town, the marina, and nearby islands. There’s an expansive Albaro Wellness & Spa, multiple pools, and seven on-site restaurants — including two with Michelin stars. The atmosphere is refined yet relaxed, making it ideal for both wellness escapes and sophisticated getaways. Check rates here.

Hotel Lone (Maistra Collection)

Hotel Lone is Croatia’s first design hotel, located right next to the Golden Cape forest park and only a short walk to Mulini Beach. Its architecture by 3LHD is modern and artistic, and every interior detail (from furniture to art) was custom-made — giving guests a feeling of staying in a gallery rather than just a hotel.

Rooms have balconies with views of the pine forest or sea, and some even include private plunge pools. The hotel also features a wellness center (with pools, saunas, and spa treatments). Check availability here.

Hotel Angelo d’Oro

Hotel Angelo d’Oro is a romantic boutique hotel tucked away in the winding stone lanes of Rovinj’s Old Town. Set inside a beautifully restored 17th-century palace, it feels intimate and full of character.

The rooms blend old-world charm — think exposed stone, warm wood, and antique touches — with modern comforts. One of the most special parts of the property is its quiet courtyard garden, a hidden escape perfect for sipping morning coffee away from the crowds.

Staying here feels like stepping back into Rovinj’s Venetian past while enjoying the cozy, personal atmosphere of a family-run hotel. Check rates here.

I also stayed just outside of Rovinj’s old town, and it ended up being the perfect decision. Parking is much easier in the residential areas, and it gave me a quieter, more relaxed base while still being only a short walk or bike ride from the historic center.

It’s the best of both worlds — close enough to enjoy the restaurants, sunsets, and lively waterfront, yet peaceful enough to escape the crowds at the end of the day.

Sunset Residence Rovinj

Sunset Residence Rovinj offers a sleek, modern stay just steps from the sea. The building features stylish rooms and apartments designed with a minimalist, contemporary feel — bright spaces, clean lines, and balconies that let in plenty of light.

Many units come with outdoor seating, making them ideal for enjoying Rovinj’s famous sunsets. It’s a comfortable, polished option that still feels peaceful, making it perfect for travelers who want the flexibility of an apartment combined with the elegance of a boutique stay. Check rates here.

Apartment Villa Istria Rovinj

Apartment Villa Istria is a charming and relaxing place to stay, located in a quiet neighborhood not far from Cuvi Beach. The apartments are spacious and practical, with kitchenettes, private terraces, and a homelike feel that’s great for longer stays or families.

The garden adds to the laid-back atmosphere — it’s the kind of place where you unwind after a day of exploring. Guests appreciate the warm hospitality, calm surroundings, and the convenience of being close to both nature and the old town without the noise. Check rate and availability.
